| Metz Unique Approach |
| The advantages and guarantees that our company can offer you (see Why Metz) are due to a strict organized process. Here we would like to show you how your flowers are handled from the moment they are ordered until the time they are delivered. |
1a. Ordering by fax and telephoneOrdering is done weekly and always the same days. You can order by fax or be called by one of our sales representatives. Within 10 minutes your order and any questions can be personally dealt with. |
1b. Ordering with the IRIS-systemThe IRIS-system is your personal ordering system. You can order your flowers and plants by computer. Daily prices and special offers can be seen with this ordering system. Until 10 o'clock in the evening you can order your flowers and plants. This means after a busy day you can relax and take time to place your order. More information can be found by the IRIS ordering system. |
2. BuyingFrom 5 o'clock in the morning the buyers are busy selecting the flowers. They do this by buying at the auction clock or from the growers. They then start cutting the flowers and are packed accordingly to Metz standards. |
3. Delivery to MetzThe flowers are then brought to the auction throughout the morning and are then checked for amounts and quality. Should there be problems our quality controller will be called to solve any problems. |
4. Fragile ProductsFragile products are carefully wrapped in paper, and roses are protected by a carton sleeve. |
5. PackingAfter quality control the flowers are selected and carefully placed in plastic boxes which are designed to protect flowers during transport. Any extensions to your order can be done until 12 o'clock the next morning. |
6. Transport OrganisationWhen packing is completed all boxes are then gathered and placed into the planned routes. Once again the amount of boxes are checked. |
7. Loading TransportThe boxes are pilled on top of each other, and than shipped to the airport, on their way to different destinations throughout the world. |
8. DeliveriesThe day after departure, the different drivers are delivering to the shops. |
